Round raffia rug - Laurette

Round rug with a diameter of 210 cm in raffia, hand-woven by Laurette from the Rouge Beauté association.

This model mixes shades of pink, red, purple, blue, green, beige and yellow.

Each rug is unique!

Each craftswoman imagines her rug and the colors that will make it up. She dyes the raffia herself. Once the raffia is dried, she creates a long braid, which she continues by adding strands of raffia and wrapping this braid around itself as she goes.

This is why the rugs are round.

It takes 3 weeks to make a carpet 2.10 meters in diameter.
