Round raffia rug - Léonie

Round rug with a diameter of 200 cm in raffia, hand-woven by Léonie from the Rouge Beauté association.

A very soft model with its braid of three strands of natural, tea-colored and navy blue raffia.

Each rug is unique!

Each craftswoman imagines her rug and the colors that will make it up. She dyes the raffia herself. Once the raffia is dried, she creates a long braid, which she continues by adding strands of raffia and wrapping this braid around itself as she goes.

This is why the rugs are round.

It takes almost 3 weeks to make a carpet 2 meters in diameter.
