Round raffia rug - Hortence

Round rug with a diameter of 170 cm in raffia, hand-woven by Hortence from the Rouge Beauté association.

This colorful model combines tones of coral, pink, orange and yellow for a vibrant effect.

Each rug is unique!

Each craftswoman imagines her rug and the colors that will make it up. She dyes the raffia herself. Once the raffia is dried, she creates a long braid, which she continues by adding strands of raffia and wrapping this braid on itself as she goes.

This is why the rugs are round.

It takes 2 weeks to make a carpet 1.70 meters in diameter.
