Natural, plum and brown round raffia rug – 200 cm

Round rug, 200 cm in diameter, made of raffia, hand-woven by Mahareta from the Rouge Beauté association. A model interweaving undyed natural coloured raffia with tones of plum and brown. Each rug is unique! Each craftswoman imagines her rug and the colors that will compose it. She herself makes the shade of the raffia. Once the raffia is dry, she creates a long braid, which she continues by adding strands of raffia and winding this braid on itself as she goes. That's why rugs are round. It takes about 3 weeks to make a 2-meter diameter carpet.
