Set of 4 placemats in satrana palm from Madagascar.

This plant fiber is extracted from the palm and dried and braided by hand using an ancestral method. As it dries, it becomes rigid. Its appearance is smooth, the natural color takes on shades of off-white with touches of soft green.

Two artisans from the Rouge Beauté association with which we collaborate created these placemats: Julienne and Lucienne.

Satrana requires a very particular technical skill, which is completely different from weaving raffia.

These sisal placemats have a large diameter of 40 cm, which allows you to place large plates on them.

Their smooth appearance, natural color, goes easily with a raw table or a tablecloth.

The satrana is easy to maintain, the sets can be cleaned with a sponge!
