Round raffia rug - Saovola

Round rug with a diameter of 200 cm in raffia, hand-woven by Fine from the Rouge Beauté association in Madagascar.

A strong and contrasting model, orange, brown and black, which electrifies the decoration of a room and goes well with the warm tones of the wood.

Each rug is unique!

Each craftswoman imagines her rug and the colors that will make it up. She dyes the raffia herself. Once the raffia is dried, she creates a long braid, which she continues by adding strands of raffia and wrapping this braid around itself as she goes.

This is why the rugs are round.

It takes almost 3 weeks to make a carpet 2 meters in diameter.
