Set of 6 x round placemats in natural raffia & plum - Juliana

Set of 6 placemats in natural raffia and plum, handmade by Juliana - artisan from an association in the North of Madagascar.

The craftswomen create their own models there. They make their dyes for the raffia, then braid the strands of raffia, winding them gradually into a long braid. It's the same principle for a 40 cm placemat or for a 2 m rug!

These placemats in delicate and cheerful colors are thick, rigid and resistant! Made in a windy region by the sea, they will not blow away at the first gust of wind.
